Portrait of a Victorian Lady. c.1891

This is a superbly painted Victorian water colour portrait of an ellegant Victorian young lady sitting in a chair. Not signed, but has the initials, L.G.Mc.C and the year date 91. Antique Victorian Print, Remrandts Mother

A lovely antique print of Rembrandts Mother, the print is believed to be late Victorian and is encased in a wonderful Edwardian Period frame. The Scales, Thomas Devany Forrestall

A water colour painting titled “The Scales”, by the renowned Canadian realist artist Thomas DeVany Forrestall, born 1936.  This is a classic of Forrestall’s work showing simplicity yet thought provoking  art with exceptional quality in style and content. Signed by the artist and dated 1974 in the lower left corner of the picture, also signed and titled by the artist on verso of picture, which states; “Painted at the house in Upper Clements, Nova Scotia”.  Comes framed and glazed, size of frame is;  720ml.w.  x  580ml. h.  This is a very fine painting and represents a good value for money painting from such a talented artist.      Payment for this painting

Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother

This is a Signed Limited Edition Lithograph of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother after a painting by the renowned Royal Portrait Artist Richard Stone. This is a wonderful example of Richard Stone’s work and comes framed in a nice gilt frame, the lithograph is number 329 from a limited edition of 350. This Lithograph is in very good condition and measures;  Frame:  690ml.w.  x 820ml. h.  image size: 345ml. w.  x  440ml. h.  Richard Stone (born 1951) has painted portraits of Queen Elizabeth II, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and many other of the Royal family during his career as an artist and all his portraits portray a life like image in the finished painting. Fred Slocombe, Horse and Cart in Country Lane

A fine 19th century etching signed by Frederick Slocombe showing a horse and cart being led along a country lane through a wooded area.  Frederick Albert Slocombe b. 1847 came from a family of etchers and artists well known in the late 1800′s and early 1900′s.  Frederick Slocombe was also a highly successful painter of landscape and rustic genre, exhibiting  widely at The Royal Academy and elsewhere for over 50 years. George Bernard Shaw Oil Painting

A superb Oil Painting Portrait of George Bernard Shaw the famous Irish playwright. Born 26th July 1856 and died 2nd November 1950 he was a playwright, critic and political activist and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1925, plus an Oscar in 1938 for his adapted screenplay of Pygmalion.  This oil painting is on canvas on board and in a nice gilt frame which measures 740ml. h.  x   590ml. w. and is signed and dated by an artist I. Sutton, could be an Irish artist?? Dated 1981.  The painting is in very good condition but shows a very small streak of paint on the coat sleeve where it may have been retouched at some time, other than that this is a marvelous portrait painting of the well known playwright George Bernard Shaw.  See Payment Options                 (N.)300711    Click on Picture for Larger Image.
