Richard Earlom, engraved Mezzotint

“The Piping Herdsman” and his Dancing Dog. A wonderful 18th century engraved mezzotint by Richard Earlom after a Claude Lorrain drawing from “Liber Veritatis”, published by John Boydell. Dated 1775. No.90 …. Wind In The Willows

A superb Pen & Ink with Water Colour Illustration for Wind in The Willows and features Ratty, Moley and Toady.  The illustration is superbly done with good colouring and style, no signature to it but has been expertly painted. In really good condition and is thought to have been painted between 1960 – 1980, it is in an old but still usable gilt frame that measures 450mm. w.  x  300mm. h.
