Queen Elizabeth II Coronation, Oil Painting

Oliver Gilmore Brabbins, 1953 Royal Coronation Oil on canvas in a nice gilt frame. The painting shows lot’s of detail and some recognisable faces, with the then Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Geoffrey Fisher about to place the St. Edwards Crown on the Queens head. Signed and dated in the right hand corner, size is approx. 75cm. h. x 97cm.w. Attributed to Sir Thomas Monnington

This painting is circa: 1930′s and is titled on the verso of the mount; “Sir Thomas Monnington P.R.A. Garden Shed, Crawley Down.  It is likely to have been painted at Thomas Monnington’s mother’s house in Crawley  Down, Sussex during the 1930′s and was possibly an unfinished painting or maybe a study for a fuller more detailed painting. It is water colour and wash on thick paper, size is approx. 400ml. x 350ml. and shows very much the style and detail of Sir Thomas Monnington’s art work. Abraham Hulk Snr. Marine Seascape

A captivating and expertly painted water colour marine seascape by the Royal Acadamy listed artist Abraham Hulk Snr. 1813-1897. This fine water colour shows a large sailing boat on the ocean with sail boats in the back ground, with wonderfully painted cloud formation and sea gulls plus realistic aves. This is a superb painting full of vibrant colours by Abraham Hulk, the frame  measuring  525ml. wide x  420ml. high. The Honourable Mrs. Graham

A wonderful oil on canvas set on board portrait painting of The Honourable Mrs. Graham, set in a very nice ornate gilt frame. unsigned but looks professionaly painted and was painted  during the 2oth century. Size of frame is 725ml. wide x 975ml.. high and both the picture and the frame are in good condition. The original Thomas Gainsborough painting is a full length portrait and is on display in the Scottish National Gallery and is thought to be one fo Gainsborough’s finest full length portraits painted in the tradition of Van Dyck. The costume and accessories are true 17th century fashion and enhances the elegant beauty of the Honourable Mrs. Graham (1757-1792).  She was Born the Honourable Mary Cathcart, daughter of the 9th Baron Cathcart, he was Ambassador to Catherine the Great. She married the wealthy Perthshire Landowner Thomas Graham who later became Lord Lynedoch in 1774.
